Text consent on our phone line
Last updated 2026-10-22. NearbyLead is operated by MarginWalkers Inc.
What callers are asked
When a business owner calls NearbyLead's phone line to set up their website, our voice assistant asks this before the call ends:
“Can NearbyLead text you a recap of this call and a link when your website is live? Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.”
Texting is optional. We record a clear yes, with the time of the call. If the caller says no or doesn't answer, we send nothing by text and follow up by email only.
The first text after a yes
Before any other text, we confirm the caller's consent in writing:
“NearbyLead: You're subscribed to texts about setting up your website. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Terms: https://nearbylead.com/legal/terms/ Privacy: https://nearbylead.com/legal/privacy/”
What we send
A recap of the call with a link to finish setting up online, and a link when the website is live. No marketing texts. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to opt out at any time. See our terms and privacy policy.
